Every people will become old. The aging process marked with wrinkles in the skin, bone loss slowly, this is a sign that we are getting weak in all respect. But Paul insists that inwardly we are always renewed day by day. For our light, today, achieving for us an eternal glory, beyond all – sundry. (2 Cor 4: 16 – 17) How is Possible?
The aging process and become weak in fact will concentrate our minds on God. We can learn to focus Him and in fact - a fact that is not visible; we learn to distinguish between things - things eternal and things - things mortal. We are drawn by the love of God to direct you to the things - things above and not things - worldly.
Therefore we are to focus on things that are not visible (verse 18). The view must transcend our weakness today, and pointed to our existence, later beings - noble creature, which emits a glowing beauty and boundless energy!
Therefore we "do not lose heart" (verse 16). We can "cooperate" with our suffering and continue to serve, pray, love, be concerned until the end of our lives. We can have a strong character despite our humanity is weak; we can show fortitude and love for others in the midst of our anxiety. Meskipunn we have temporary difficulties, we can continue to move forward because we have looked at the bright glory far beyond all that. Do not be afraid to be old and infirm, the origin is always close to God and obedience to Him we will enjoy life with Him.
